Our mission is to provide safe, stable transitional housing for men in Lancaster who are facing homelessness or a life crisis. We offer more than a place to stay — we provide structure, support, and guidance to help men rebuild their lives, regain independence, and move forward with dignity.
We envision a community where every man has a safe place to live and a real chance to start again. Haven House works toward a future where men are supported through crisis, equipped with life skills and employment opportunities, and empowered to transition into permanent housing and long-term stability.
Haven House for Men is a fully launched nonprofit organization led by founder Pamela Powell, created to address the growing need for safe, supportive transitional housing for men in Lancaster and the greater Los Angeles County area.
While still in its foundational stage, Haven House is built on a strong mission: to restore dignity, stability, and opportunity to individuals and families facing homelessness and hardship.
It Living without a stable place or income makes everything more complicated, like finding work, staying healthy, and planning your next move. Many men in Lancaster leave shelters, jail, treatment programs, or unsafe situations with nowhere safe to go.
Haven House exists because a bed for the night isn't enough.
We provide short-term, stable housing for men who need time and support to get back on their feet. With a safe place to stay, help finding work, and guidance to plan your next steps, you can focus on rebuilding instead of just surviving.
Haven House gives you the space, structure, and support to move toward permanent housing and a more secure future at your own pace, with dignity and respect.

Residents are provided with safe, structured housing while working closely with staff to develop an individualized transition plan.
During the first phase, Haven House focuses on securing the property and making it ready for residents. This includes setting up utilities, furnishing bedrooms and common areas, and ensuring the home is safe, welcoming, and fully functional.
In this phase, trained staff are hired and onboarded. Intake procedures are finalized, partnerships are strengthened, and the first residents are welcomed into the program. Services begin on a smaller scale to ensure each resident receives proper attention and support.
By this stage, Haven House reaches full occupancy and offers all program services. Residents receive ongoing case management, employment support, and life-skills guidance while working toward permanent housing and financial stability.
