ABOUT US

Safe Housing for Men Ready to Move Forward

Haven House for Men is a fully launched nonprofit organization led by founder Pamela Powell, created to address the growing need for safe, supportive transitional housing for men in Lancaster and the greater Los Angeles County area.

While still in its foundational stage, Haven House is built on a strong mission: to restore dignity, stability, and opportunity to individuals and families facing homelessness and hardship.

Why You Need The Haven House?

It Living without a stable place or income makes everything more complicated, like finding work, staying healthy, and planning your next move. Many men in Lancaster leave shelters, jail, treatment programs, or unsafe situations with nowhere safe to go.

Haven House exists because a bed for the night isn't enough.

We provide short-term, stable housing for men who need time and support to get back on their feet. With a safe place to stay, help finding work, and guidance to plan your next steps, you can focus on rebuilding instead of just surviving.

Haven House gives you the space, structure, and support to move toward permanent housing and a more secure future at your own pace, with dignity and respect.

What Haven House Provides For You

At Haven House, residents are given a safe and structured place to live while they work toward stability. From the beginning, each resident works one-on-one with staff to create a personal transition plan focused on housing, employment, and life goals.

Safe Housing

A clean, secure place to stay with a bed, basic furniture, and shared living areas. You don’t need to worry about where you'll sleep as your safety and comfort come first.

Case Management

You'll work one-on-one with staff to create a plan for housing, work, and personal goals. We help you take things step by step, at a pace that works for you.

Job Support

Help with job searching, applications, resumes, and referrals to local employers. Stable work is key to moving forward, and we support you through the process.

Learn practical skills like budgeting, managing expenses, and planning ahead. These tools help you stay stable once you move into permanent housing.

Emotional Support

We support your mental and emotional well-being through referrals and life coaching sessions. You don’t have to face stress, trauma, or recovery alone.

Months 4–6: Building the Program

In this phase, trained staff are hired and onboarded. Intake procedures are finalized, partnerships are strengthened, and the first residents are welcomed into the program. Services begin on a smaller scale to ensure each resident receives proper attention and support.

By this stage, Haven House reaches full occupancy and offers all program services. Residents receive ongoing case management, employment support, and life-skills guidance while working toward permanent housing and financial stability.
